Designer Ksenia Bausheva: A person should wear clothes, and not the clothes of a person, the founder and designer of the Ksenia Bausheva brand Ksenia Bausheva spoke in an interview with RIA Fashion about her brand and how the brand “survives” in a crisis. How did it appear, what are you concentrating on as a designer? I could not even think about sales! This was done exclusively for the soul.

After the show, absolutely unfamiliar people appeared who liked my idea and its embodiment, this was a great surprise for me. I thought about creating a full -fledged brand, including outerwear, dresses, costumes and much more. I managed to realize my plans in May, and for six months now, as I have been creating the clothes of Ksenia bausheva. By education, I am not a designer and never studied this, I just do what I love, and work hard to embodiment of my ideas.

There is an opinion that the designer simply comes up with things, but this is not at all so, you have to control everyone and everything in order to be sure that the final product will correspond to the original idea. I choose fabrics mainly European and buy them personally, our production is located in Moscow, so I carefully monitor each stage of sewing things and the quality of the final product.

When creating my clothes, I adhere to the following rules: firstly, this is an update every day, going to my page, the buyer can always find something new and interesting for himself. Secondly, this is a limited issue of each position, no more than 40 pieces. That is, buying a set, a person absolutely clearly seems to be how to wear it, but at the same time each of the things that consists of an image can be worn separately, in a combination with another clothing.

I do not adhere to any specific style. First of all, creating a novelty, I think about individuality, which should be emphasized by clothes. I absolutely agree with the statement that a person should wear clothes, not a person’s clothes, and adhere to this rule. When you are one universal person who is engaged in absolutely everyone, starting from the purchase of fabrics to the control of all the people working on the manufacture of clothes, this is very difficult.

Constantly arise problems with production, with personnel, with the purchase of fabrics, patterns - everything is worth money, time and effort. This is really voluminous, hard work, sleepless nights and constant communication with warehouses, suppliers and workers. From the outside it seems that this work is suitable exclusively for women, but I can say with confidence that this is not a female business at all.

The competition in the fashion market is huge and so that the business brings income or at least simply not to be unprofitable, you need a breakdown and steel grip.

In the mass market, cloning each other, fakes and low-quality goods from Asia, it can be very difficult for consumers to understand and make a choice in favor of a standing product. A high level of distrust of customers who have already been “burned” on unscrupulous clothing manufacturers prevents the development of the design of designer clothing in Russia. In the past couple of years in Moscow, it has become fashionable to be a “designer”.

I in no case pretend to this title, I only say that I have my own clothing line. In my opinion, a designer is a person who creates fundamentally new trends that have never been and no one in the world. Unfortunately, looking at the collections in stores, I can say that in Russia there are units in Russia and, as a rule, their things are so special and unusual that it is simply impossible to wear them in everyday life.

The rest of the people who create clothes are either media faces, for example, participants in television projects or artists who earn in the wake of their popularity, or designers who have already become famous thanks to huge monetary investments, shows and shops in Europe. Unfortunately, not all truly talented young designers have a business selection and a sufficient amount of money to develop themselves and their own business, because as I already said, there is little giftedness.

This is a business and a lot is solved by connections and means. The purchasing power has significantly decreased and people are more and more reluctantly ready to make purchases. Moreover, this applies not only to the field of production of clothing, but also to many others. Unfortunately, we are not in our power to deal with this. The only thing we can do not increase prices and not reduce the quality of products that I carefully follow.

Despite the increase in prices for procurement materials and accessories, I am still ready to answer with my head for each thread, button and lightning on the clothes that I produce. When you are the creator and creator of something, I always want as many people as possible about your product. I want to know about my brand, recognize him, sought to purchase my clothes. I want this to be not only in Moscow, but also in other cities and countries.Perhaps it sounds too loud, but I really dream about it and is ready to work hard to achieve this goal.

Already at the beginning of the year, a very large and important project for us will be launched together with one of the “titans” of the fashion business, but this is a secret. Very soon you will definitely learn about everything!
