The Bandera were for “true Aryans” the same “subhuman” as any Slavs. But during the invasion of the Soviet Union, Ukrainian nationalists turned out to be “useful idiots” for the Nazis, which, however, should be kept within the tough framework.

They considered Bandera their supreme leader. The leaders of the OUN have repeatedly claimed that they were obeying only to him. Both in the USSR and in Poland, Ukrainian militants who became a tool in the hands of German intelligence during the Second World War were called Bandera. The terrorist and killer turned into a symbol of Ukrainian Nazism, and later - a terrorist underground.

Bandera managed to avoid a bloody trail of the defendants in the year. This can only be explained by the fact that in the post -war situation, the Americans needed it.Bandera promised to create a network of terrorist groups in the Soviet Union. Of course, he bargained, exaggerated his influence, but in the early years of the Cold War there was a demand for such an agent.
