After the arrest of his father, before receiving a passport, Shukshin was even called the mother’s surname - Vasily Popov.

Shukshin's death was natural. For many years he suffered from ulcerative illness, drank, smoked a lot. And although he stopped drinking alcohol long before his death, he slept little, worked at night on scenarios and stories, drank liters of coffee and gave himself experiences. For the family, for the fate of the films, the heart simply could not stand it. Together with Anatoly Kovtun, who was often photographed by Vasily Makarovich, we will visit the ship where Vasily Shukshin spent his last days of his life.

No matter how many legends and delusions there are around the name of Vasily Shukshin, though one. He is a brilliant storyteller and director with a unique vision.
