Among the works dedicated to the Khazar theme, Gumilyov notes Foyanov’s book “Kievan Rus”. Quoted by ed. Sadykov, comp. Shanbai, - M. Froanov Igor Yakovlevich p. He was born in the city of Armavir in the family of the Kuban Cossack-the commander of the Red Army, repressed in difficult childhood and the adolescence of the son of the "enemy of the people" did not break the life of Froyanov: in he ends the school, in –58 serves in the army, at –63 studies at the historical and philological faculty of the Stavropol Pedagogical Institute.
In his student years, Froyanov under the influence of his first teacher prof. Romanovsky has awakened a research interest in the problems of Russian medieval history. In this interest, he brought him to graduate school of the Faculty of History of Leningrad State University. The scientific director of the young graduate student was the wonderful Russian scientist prof. Feeling of love and gratitude to his teachers Froyanov invariably and sacredly.
Since the defense in the candidate dissertation, the fate of Froyanov is inextricably linked with the University of St. Petersburg, in which he has already been working OK. Froyanov - Doctor of Historical Sciences C, Professor C, Head of the Department of History of Russia with and Dean of the Faculty of History of St. Petersburg State University with he is the chairman of the Head Council on the History of the State Humanitory of the Russian Federation, the head of the inter -university scientific program “Historical Experience of the Russian People and Modernity”.
Froyanov’s research has put it into the number of leading experts in the history of the Russian Middle Ages. Nowadays, the scientific community is increasingly turning to the concept of Froyanov and the historians of ancient Rus' created by him at the University of the School. This concept, having withstanded charges of “anti -Marxism”, “bourgeois”, “oblivion of the formation and class approaches” in the Soviet years, remains in the relevant field one of the most fruitful research areas.
It is formulated by the author in a number of scientific monographs, the most important of which are “Kievan Rus. Essays on socio-economic history ”,“ Kievan Rus. Essays on socio-political history ”,“ Kievan Rus. Essays on domestic historiography ”,“ Ancient Rus' ”,“ slavery and RAM among the Eastern Slavs ”and others. The last 2 works of the scientist caused a serious public outcry: “October the seventeenth, looking from the present” and “Immersion into the abyss of Russia at the end of the twentieth century.
In the first book, which the author devoted to “The Bright memory of Vladyka John, Metropolitan S. this third decision, which“ is related to the game of external forces, hostile Russia, ”the book is dedicated. Analyzing the shadow side of the preparation of the revolution, Froyanov shows the role that the “world backstage” played in the destruction of Russia. The book represents a Russian view of the mechanism and consequences of the October Revolution.
Its logical continuation was the book “Immersion in the Abyss”, which was the first fundamental scientific research of the world's tragedy that its creators cynically called “perestroika”. Having summarized the enormous actual material, masterfully using his gift of historical intuition, skillfully using the source experience of an ancient history specialist in working with those sources in which there is no information about the main thing they are covered by a curtain of default and secrecy, Froyanov managed to create an impressive panorama of destruction and betrayal of his homeland.
After the publication of the book “Falling into the Abyss”, as if on command, in a number of liberal-Masonic media, the scientist's persecution began. As a result of this campaign, Froyanov was deprived of the post of dean of the historical faculty. But this does not bother the scientist and teacher who is most valuable with freedom of creativity and is not used to changing the truth.
