Their friends died around. Death followed them. But they remained people, continued to believe and love. Unfortunately, my grandfather did not like to talk about the war. My mother, being a little girl, often asked him to remember any stories.

But he did not agree. He only always said: “The war selects everything that is expensive for him, everything that he loves and honors. She surrounds the man with death. In March, in battles for the village of Medvedovo, a platoon commanded by the grandfather suppressed the fire of two machine -gun points, one automatic gun, more than 30 Nazis were exterminated. The grandfather was awarded the order of the Red Star for this fight.
