The construction of a system of economic security is aimed at ensuring the sustainable and effective functioning of enterprises of the industrial complex of the region in modern economic conditions, the formation of prerequisites for intensive growth and development of companies in the future. The article reveals the essence of the concept of economic security as a set of institutional conditions, mechanisms, factors and patterns of actions aimed at preventing internal and external threats, and protecting the interests of the region in economic relations, as well as an increase in the level of life of the population of the region due to the growth of indicators of the efficiency of the industrial complex.

The strategy for the formation of the economic security of the region should include various forms of managerial relations, organizational and economic tools, projects, the implementation of which is aimed at preventing the prevention of relevant threats, including those related to economic crimes. Therefore, economic security is a harmonious, viable state of the economy of the industrial complex, guaranteeing a balanced sustainable development of the economy, in which an improvement in the conditions of life of the population of the region is achieved.

The article discusses groups of factors that sharply exacerbate the process of ensuring the economic security of industrial enterprises in the region: socio-economic instability; foci of military and socio-political tension in some countries adjacent to Russia; Criminalization of society: corruption and economic crimes; The imperfection of the legislation regulating commercial activities.

Based on the criteria reflecting regional interests, the structural components of the economic security of enterprises of the industrial complex of the region from the point of view of systemic and integrated approaches, namely: production security, non-production security, technical and technological security, personnel safety, natural resource safety, financial security.
