For some time, his attention was distinguished by boxing, but by the end of the technical school he firmly decided that he would enter the Leningrad Technological Institute. For a long time, he perceived the colors in the paintings exclusively as a result of the work of women in small rooms, manually overwhelming paints. And one day sulfuric acid leaked from the hose almost deprived his vision. Semyon was an impressionable person, and perhaps this moment turned him away from the profession of a chemist-technologist.

In addition, he has already begun to write, and his debut aphorisms appeared not somewhere, but in the Literary Newspaper. Semyon began to write poetry in his youth: Mom passed away, and sadness demanded a way out. Then he composed to impress familiar girls. And then he realized that his specific vision of the world and an outstanding sense of humor can be turned to the benefit, and wrote several caustic and well -aimed phrases that he sent to the Literary Gazeta.

Accepted 9 pieces. The novice writer became Altov in the year. According to his memoirs, in the Literary Newspaper the name Altshuler was reduced to “alt”, and then added the end of “s”, saying that it would be funnier for readers and calmer for Semyon.

Soon, in order to avoid problems with postal translations and other documents, the pseudonym turned into a surname. Semyon Alts in his youth and the first fee for the publication in the publication of several aphorisms was impressive at that time: thirty -six rubles and forty kopecks. He regularly holds solo concerts. For example, in April, he gave a concert in the Central House of Writers in Moscow.
